Seven-Storey Building Collapses In Ikoyi, Lagos

On Wednesday at around 3 pm, a seven-storey building that was under construction collapsed in the Banana Island area of Ikoyi, Lagos State.

According to reports, the building caved in after the construction workers had left the site for the day.

Some of them were however sustain injuries as a result of the collapse.

The spokesperson for the Lagos Fire Service and Rescue Service, Amodu Shakiri, confirmed the incident.

He said, “We got a call around 3:58 pm. We are currently trying to ascertain the claim that no one was under the rubble.”
