Probe Begins As Rampaging Cultists Kill Three In Lagos

The Lagos State Police Command has commenced investigation into a cult clash that killed not lesser than three persons around Lady Lak, in the Bariga area of the state.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the development on Thursday.

He said, “No arrest has been made yet. The law only says cult groups, and that’s all we need to convict them in court. But they are cultists, it is confirmed.”

Residents and people returning home from work were thrown into a frenzy during the cult clash that created tension late Wednesday.

In a video clip shared by a source in the area, it was observed that the corpses of three yet-to-be-identified men were lying in a pool of blood with lacerations on the heads of two of the victims.

In the video clip, people in the area were seen turning the corpses of the deceased victims to identify the corpses.

Commenting on the incident, a source in the area stated, “Shootings were heard in the area. Some people got injured. Nobody can say why they were fighting but the area is a cultists’ den.”
