Yemi Cardoso is an indigene of Lagos State, a chartered stockbroker, and has been in the Nigerian banking sector for over 4 decades.

He has worked with many banks, including Chase Bank, Citibank, and Citizens International Bank. He has also served as the former chairman of Citibank Nigeria.

He is a member of the board of directors of several companies, including Unilever Nigeria, Nigerian Breweries, and Stanbic IBTC Holdings.

He is a member of the Nigerian Economic Summit Group.

He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Ibadan and a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Manchester.

He has served as a member of the Presidential Economic Management Team.
