Mohammed Salah Scores As Liverpool Beat West Ham 3-1
Goals from Mohammed Salah, Darwin Nunez, and Diogo Jota secured a win for Liverpool as they beat West Ham 3-1 at the Anfield stadium on Sunday.
Mohamed Salah opened the scoring in the 15th minute after he was tripped by Aguerd in the penalty box.
Salah slotted the spot kick into the center of the goal post, leaving Areola to dive in the wrong direction.
The visitors bagged an equalizer just three minutes before half-time courtesy of Jarred Bowen’s 42nd-minute strike.
Nunez almost got a lead for the home team as Salah managed to tip the ball towards him in a crowded West Ham penalty area.
The Uruguayan fired the ball wide off the post.
Finally, in the 60th minute, Nunez extended Liverpool’s lead as he received a wonderful tipped pass from Mac Allister.
The striker took his time well enough before firing the ball past Areola.
Substitute Diogo Jota came in for Luis Diaz nine minutes to the end of the game.
Jota registered his name on the score sheet four minutes after coming in.
Robertson took a corner kick which was headed down his direction by Van Dijk. The Portuguese slotted in the ball in a cool manner.
