Trevor Noah To Host Grammys For Fourth Year In A Row
Emmy Award-winning comedian, Trevor Noah, will host the prestigious Grammy Awards for the fourth year in a row.
Noah announced this in an episode of his Spotify podcast, ”What Now? With Trevor Noah”, which was aired on Thursday.
“I’m hosting the Grammys. I’m excited about that, yeah,” he said. “It’s a lot of fun. I enjoy the Grammys because I get to watch the show in person and then experience and comment on it in person while it’s happening.”
In another post shared via his Instagram page, he wrote, “I’m so excited! #GRAMMYs baby!🕺🏾 Tune in on Sunday, February 4th at 8 pm! On @CBSTV! 🔥.”
Trevor made his debut on the Grammy stage in 2021, then returned as host in 2022 and 2023.
In an official statement by the organizers of the event, The Recording Academy, Noah was hailed for “creating a seamless and engaging experience” for the audience in previous editions of the event.
The release read in part, “In his previous years as host, Noah was praised for his ability to blend humor with a deep appreciation for music, creating a seamless and engaging experience for both the in-house audience and at-home viewers. His return for the 2024 GRAMMYs is a testament to his impact and popularity in the role.”
The 66th Grammy Awards is scheduled for the 4th of February, 2024, and will be held at the Crypto.com Arena, Los Angeles.
The South African comedian will not only host the event, but he also doubles as a nominee in the Best Comedy Album category for his Netflix project, “I Wish You Would”.
In 2020, Noah received his first Grammy nomination for his album, Son of Patricia, which was also nominated in the Best Comedy Album category.
