BRT Drivers Suspend Strike
Drivers working with Primero Transport Services Limited, one of the companies operating the Lagos State Bus Rapid Transit, who embarked on a strike on Saturday over the non-payment of their December salary, have returned to work.
It was observed that the buses were also back on the road as of Monday morning when a check was carried out.
Passengers were stranded on Sunday as drivers of Primero TSL embarked on a strike over the non-payment of their December salary.
An employee of the company had said that “the strike started (on Saturday). They are on strike because their December pay has not been given to them,” adding that the issue might be resolved by Monday.
The customer service department of Primero TSL, had also stated on Monday that the issue that led to the strike had been resolved.
“The issue has been resolved and our buses are back on the road this morning,” the customer service department wrote.
