Arne Slot Commences Role As New Liverpool Head Coach
Arne Slot has officially commenced his tenure as Liverpool FC’s manager today, following Jürgen Klopp’s exit.
Liverpool disclosed that the 45-year-old Dutchman joins from Feyenoord, where he enjoyed three successful seasons, including a league title in 2023 and two Eredivisie Manager of the Year awards.
According to a Saturday statement from the club’s website, Slot’s work with the squad starts in July with a pre-season trip to the USA.
It also added that the website would soon announce his official unveiling.
“Arne Slot officially begins his role as Liverpool Football Club’s new head coach today.
“He joined the Reds from Feyenoord and took up the reins following the departure of Jürgen Klopp.
“Slot will begin work with the squad when pre-season gets underway in July, with a three-game trip to the USA as part of the preparations for 2024-25.
“The Netherlands-born coach arrives after three highly successful seasons with Feyenoord, during which he led them to the league title in 2023 and was named Eredivisie Manager of the Year on two occasions.
“Details of his official unveiling as the club’s head coach will be confirmed via Liverpoolfc.com in due course,” the statement read.
