Bournemouth Sign Alex Paulsen From Wellington Phoenix

Bournemouth has completed the signing of goalkeeper, Alex Paulsen from Australian A-League side Wellington Phoenix. He becomes the cherries third signing ahead of the 2024/25 Premier League season.

“I’m humbled to be considered worthy of signing with Bournmouth in the Premier League,” Paulsen told the club’s official website.

“It means the world to me, my family and to my friends to be offered an opportunity to play in the best league on the planet, which most aspiring young footballers only dream of.”

Paulsen was named in the 2024 A-League All Stars men’s team, keeping a clean sheet in an 8-0 win over Newcastle United in Melbourne last month.

Capped four times by New Zealand at under-23 level, Paulsen is expected to line up for his country at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.
