Five Dies, One Sustain Injuries In Ogun Auto Crash

A total of five persons lost their lives in a crash that occurred at the Ososa junction end of the Ijebu-ode-Ore expressway.

The Ogun state sector of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) made it known that the accident involved two vehicles, leading to one injured while two others were rescued unhurt.

The sector’s Route Commander and Public Education Officer Florence Okpe in a statement said the suspected causes of the crash were a result of speed and wrongful overtaking on the part of the Honda car which had a side collision with the truck.

According to her, the injured victim was taken to General Hospital in Ijebu-ode and the bodies were deposited at the same hospital morgue.

The Sector Commander Federal Roads Safety Corps Ogun Sector Command Anthony Uga described the crash as an avoidable one if caution was put in place.

He also advised motorists to stop making quick turns on the expressway and rather use the intersection or the proper turning point.
