Osun Residents Invade Warehouse, Loot COVID-19 Palliatives

Some residents, on Friday, broke into a warehouse located on the premises of Cocoa Processing Industrial, Ede, Osun State, and carted away COVID-19 palliatives.

A video footage of the incident showed people carrying packs of noodles and bags of rice out of the premises.

The seal on the food items showed that they were donated to the state government by the Private Sector Coalition against COVID-19 (CACOVID).

A similar warehouse was also looted in Lagos State on Thursday.

The state government condemned the incident, saying distribution was ongoing but was halted due to the #EndSARS protesters.
