Presnel Kimpembe Signs New PSG Contract
Paris Saint-Germain defender, Presnel Kimpembe has signed a new two-and-a-half-year contract with the Ligue 1 side.
The 28-year-old will now remain at the Parc des Princes until June 2026.
He said: “I am very happy to continue my story with my favorite club. I thank Paris Saint-Germain, its president, and its supporters for the renewed confidence.
“I hope to wear these colors again as soon as possible.”
The center-back has not played competitive football since February this year after suffering a ruptured Achilles tendon. PSG confirmed in a statement that he “is expected to undergo surgery in the coming days, to return to competition as quickly as possible”.
While he had been making progress in his return, having resumed training, he has so far not featured for Luis Enrique’s side this season.
Kimpembe added in an Instagram post: “I’d like to thank my club and the fans for their support in this ordeal, which I promise you I will turn into a force to be reckoned with.
“You can count on my determination to do everything I can to come back as soon as possible, play and win with PSG.”
Kimpembe has been at PSG for all of his senior career, having joined at youth level in 2005.
The France international has gone on to make a total of 257 appearances for PSG, scoring four and assisting two.
