Police Confirm 10 Killed, 30 Houses Burnt In Plateau Attack
The Plateau State Police Command has confirmed that 10 persons lost their lives while 30 houses were burnt down by gunmen who attacked Te’egbe Community ,Bassa Local Governement Area of Plateau state in the early hours of Friday .
In a statement issued on Friday by its Spokesman, Ubah Ogaba, the Police Command disclosed that, “On 26/11/2021 at about 0130hrs, the Command received a report of an attack by yet to be identified gunmen at Te’egbe Village of Bassa LGA of the State”.
The incident happened when the villagers were asleep and the invaders woke them up with sporadic gunshots and burning of houses and food barns.
Governor Simon Lalong has condemned the attack on the village, saying the criminals are bent on instilling fear, pain and sorrow on the people with a view to destabilising the state and making fortune from their criminality as well as rupturing the substantial peace attained.
