President Buhari Appoints Doyin Salami Chief Economic Adviser

President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Dr Doyin Salami as his Chief Economic Adviser.

This was revealed by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina.

The 59-year-old will address all issues pertaining to the domestic economy and present views on them to the President and also closely look through national and international developments, trends and develop appropriate policy responses.

In addition, Salami will develop and recommend to the President national economic policies to foster macro-economic stability, promote growth, create jobs, and eradicate poverty, among others.

He has a 1989 doctorate degree graduate in Economics of Queen Mary College, University of London, and is the current Managing Director and Head Markets Practice at KAINOS Edge Consulting Limited.

He is a member of the Adjunct Faculty at the Lagos Business School, Pan-Atlantic University, where he just attained the position of Senior Fellow/Associate Professor.
