US Police; Christmas Day Explosion In Nashville Intentional
The US police has reported that an explosion that appeared to be intentional and also shook a section of the US city of Nashville on Friday shattered windows and injured three people.
The explosion, apparently linked to a vehicle, left buildings and the road surface scorched in a downtown district filled to the brim with businesses, restaurants and bars.
It was large enough to be felt several blocks away but the early hour; 6.30am [1130 GMT], meant streets were extremely empty.
The Metro Nashville Police Department tweeted this morning concerning the incident. According to them; ”This appears to have been an intentional act. Law enforcement is closing downtown streets as investigation continues”.
Trees were uprooted and at least two cars caught fire and were destroyed, one of which was connected to the blast, according to the police.
