One Dead In Lagos Ibadan Crash, Traffic Builds Up

One person has been confirmed dead in a fatal accident that involved a tanker and a car, on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Thursday evening.

The crash took place along Kara bridge, en route Ibadan from Berger.

As a result of the accident, traffic is beginning to build up on the road, from Berger, as people still gathered at the scene of the accident, as of 7:00pm.

It was learnt that the driver of the truck, who was said to have allegedly hit the car had escaped, while a man, said to be his assistant (Motor boy) was being held by the driver of the car and other people.

According to an official of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), whose team eventually got to the scene, the deceased, a man, was said to be a hawker on the road.

The FRSC team stated that efforts were being made to take the corpse to the right quarters.
