Bayelsa Schools Embark On Six-Weeks Flood Break
As part of means to alleviate the impact of flood in Bayelsa State, the state government has ordered that all primary and secondary schools in the state immediately go on a six-weeks flood break.
The flood break which is necessary for both private and public schools will protect students from any adverse effects of the flood.
Aside directing the closure of all primary and secondary schools, the Governor Duoye Diri Government also constituted a task force to recognise high grounds that persons affected by the flood can relocate to while all closed water canals in the state is being opened up to reduce the impact of the flood.
