Canadian Rapper, Tory Lanez Found Guilty Of Shooting Megan Thee Stallion
Canadian rapper and singer, Daystar Peterson popularly known as Tory Laynez has been found guilty of shooting a fellow artist, Megan thee stallion by a Los Angeles Jury on Friday.
Mr. Lanez, 30, was convicted of three felony counts: assault with a semiautomatic handgun, carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle and discharging a firearm with gross negligence.
Lanez faces a maximum sentence of 22 years and eight months in prison and also stands risk of deportation to his home country of Canada after serving his sentence.
He was immediately taken into custody after jurors reached the verdict following seven hours of deliberations.
A sentencing hearing is set for January 27, 2023.
