FG Monitoring Entry Points To Prevent Fresh Covid-19 Outbreak – Osagie Ehanire

The Federal Government made it known on Monday that it is maintaining vigilance and a high level of preparedness at the entry points to prevent a fresh outbreak of COVID-19 in the country.

Speaking at the briefing, the Minister of Health, Dr Osagie Ehanire, disclosed that the ministry has met with the World Health Organisation and the Embassy of China to review the resurgence of COVID-19 in China.

According to reports, there is a resurgence of COVID-19 in China following the relaxation of the country’s zero-COVID policy, as well as significantly increased COVID-19 cases, admissions, and deaths in the United Kingdom and the United States of America over the past weeks driven partly by the usual winter exacerbations of respiratory illnesses.
