Nigerian Customs Appoints New Spokesperson

The Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service, Col Hameed Ali (retd.), has approved the appointment of Abdullahi Maiwada, as the National Public Relations Officer of the service.

A statement by the service on Monday made it known that Maiwada would replace Comptroller Timi Bomodi who had since been redeployed to Kirikiri Lighter Terminal Area Command as the Area Controller.

Maiwada holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Education/Geography and a Masters’s degree in Environmental Management from Bayaro University, Kano.

Until his appointment, he was the Deputy National Public Relations Officer of the service from January 2022 to February 2023.
