Gas-Laden Truck Leaks On Transit On Lagos Road
Commuters and motorists in the Ojuelegba area of Lagos State on Saturday morning were stranded as a result of the leakage of gas from a truck.
The incident which happened around 9 a.m. between Stadium bus stop and the Barracks bus stop on Saturday morning left commuters with no alternative as traffic was being diverted to avert explosion.
According to reports, the Lagos State Fire Service was present and the road was cordoned off for the safety of the road users.
It was observed that the truck was making a loud whizzing sound as gas escaped from a point at the top of the truck.
So far, the security and safety operatives are on the ground to avoid any incident while commuters encouraged each other to turn off other phones while passing through the risky zone.
An eyewitness said the truck was in transit when it started leaking about 9 a.m.
He said, “This truck has been leaking gas since around 9 a.m. but the Lagos Fire Service arrived on time.”
