Bruno Guimaraes Sign New Five Year Contract At St. James Park
Newcastle United midfielder, Bruno Guimaraes has signed a five-year contract extension with the Premier League side.
Guimaraes, 25, joined from Lyon in January 2022 and has gone on to make 67 appearances, scoring a total of 11 goals.
“I’m absolutely delighted. The fans have made me feel at home since my first day here and I feel so loved in my life,” he said.
“I remember in my first interview, I said I wanted to play for this club in the Champions League and now it’s happening. We are doing so well and when I look around the pitch at my team-mates I am so proud of them all.“
Guimaraes’ contract runs until 2028 – a two-year extension on his previous deal – and head coach Eddie Howe said he “epitomizes” Newcastle’s improvement since his arrival.
“I’m delighted to get Bruno signed and committed to the long-term future of the football club,” said Howe.
