Sanwo-Olu Inaugurates Agoro As 22nd Head Of Service
Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Tuesday, inaugurated Mr Olabode Agoro as the 22nd Head of Civil Service of the State.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, which was held at the Lagos House, Ikeja, the governor noted that the office of the Head of Service carries “a lot of responsibility. This is particularly so for our administration which relies significantly on the public service for the implementation of our policies and programmes.”
He stressed that although the Lagos State Public Service had a great reputation for competence among its peers, there was still much to be done to continuously raise the bar of professionalism and to ensure prompt, effective, and efficient service delivery that meets global standards.
Sanwo-Olu said, “Your journey has been marked by diligence, integrity, and a deep love for our state and our people. As you take on this new role, please know that you carry the hopes and aspirations of many. You must succeed.”
He commended the state public servants “for their contributions to our achievements since we took office four years ago and their dedication to duty, even in difficult circumstances like the COVID-19 Pandemic, which was a significant factor in our successes.”
In his remarks, Agoro thanked the governor for his appointment, pledging to work hard to take the state’s public service to greater heights.
