Southwest Governors Visits Rotimi Akeredolu In Ibadan
Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Tuesday, joined other South-West governors to visit his Ondo counterpart, Rotimi Akeredolu.
The meeting was held on Tuesday in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
The other governors in attendance are; Dapo Abiodun (Ogun), Seyi Makinde (Oyo), and Biodun Oyebanji.
This was announced in a statement by Akeredolu’s Chief Press Secretary, Richard Olatunde.
Olatunde made it known that the governors discussed national and other issues affecting the region and the people.
However, Osun State governor, Ademola Adeleke, was conspicuously absent.
Adeleke was not represented by his deputy, Kola Adewusi, neither was there any reason for his absence.
At the meeting, Akeredolu who is also the Chairman of the South-West governors, thanked his colleagues “for their solidarity,” and “harped on continuous collaboration among the South-West States.”
On his part, Governor Makinde said the governors in the region are supporting and praying for Akeredolu.
The meeting comes six weeks after Akeredolu returned to the country from Germany after being absent from Ondo for about three months.
