Tomas Soucek Sign New West Ham Contract
West Ham midfielder, Tomas Soucek has signed a new contract with the Premier League side until June 2027.
The Czech Republic international, 28, has scored a total of 30 goals in 182 games since joining initially on loan from Slavia Prague in January 2020.
Soucek, who was due to be out of contract this summer, said: “I feel that this is my home now, and I want to achieve even more in the future with this great club.”
Manager David Moyes disclosed that Soucek was a “fantastic servant” for West Ham.
“Tomas did a magnificent job to help us avoid relegation when he first arrived here, and since then he has played a major part in the progress we have made and the success we have enjoyed,” said Moyes.
“He is a model professional, gives absolutely everything for his team every time he steps on the pitch, and is a hugely popular character, loved by the players, staff and everyone at the club.”
Soucek said: “I am very happy to have signed this new contract and very proud that I can continue my career here.
“Coming to England was a new experience for me and we have been successful in the time that I have been here.”
West Ham won the Europa Conference League last season – their first trophy for 43 years – and are currently sixth in the Premier League.
