LAWMA Seals Isolo Market Over Poor Sanitation

The Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA), on Thursday, sealed Ire-Akari Market in the Isolo area of Lagos over poor sanitation.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s Senior Special Assistant on New Media, Jubril Gawat, disclosed this on X via @Mr_JAGs, saying, “Enforcement team today sealed Ire-Akari market, Isolo, for poor environmental sanitation and the use of cart pushers in violation of the state’s environmental laws.”

Sharing photos on his handle, @kunle_adeshina, on Thursday, he said, “Operatives of Monitoring Enforcement and Compliance dept from MOE&WR, in a joint operation on Thursday with LAGESC/KAI officials, removed all the illegal structures erected on the road beside Aguda Market Complex in Coker Aguda LCDA and the drainage channel behind the market.”
