Lagos Govt Dislodges Miscreants Occupying Oshodi Bridges

Officials of the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps on Monday dislodged “miscreants” occupying pedestrian bridges in the state.

The state Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, stated this on his X handle on Monday.

Wahab said that the officials dislodged miscreants squatting on pedestrian bridges in the Oshodi area of the state to make the bridge safe for pedestrians.

He said, “In order to make the pedestrian bridges across Lagos safe for pedestrians, operatives of the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps, this morning, resumed clearing of miscreants squatting on Oshodi pedestrian bridges.”

Recall that the state government on Saturday also commenced the clean-up of shanties occupied by squatters under the Obalende Bridge in the Eti-Osa Local Government Area of the state. This was upon the expiration of a four-day ultimatum issued to the occupants last week.
