Just In: Court Sentences Bobrisky To Six Months Imprisonment For Naira Abuse

Idris Olanrewaju Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky has been sentenced to six months imprisonment with no possibility of a fine for abusing the Nigeria currency.

Justice Abimbola Awogboro of the Federal High Court, Lagos, in her sentence, made it known that the judgment will serve as a deterrent to others who are fond of abusing and mutilating the naira.

Before the sentence, the judge asked about his sex, and he quickly replied that he was a man.

The judge ruled that the jail term began on March 24, 2024, the day of his arrest.
