4 signs of bipolar disorder
Bipolar disorder is a mental health condition characterized by extreme mood swings, including emotional highs and lows. Here are 4 signs of bipolar:
Depression: This includes feeling sad, hopeless, or worthless most of the time, losing interest in activities, having difficulty concentrating, and experiencing changes in appetite or sleep patterns.
Rapid Cycling: They may experience frequent mood swings like having four or more mood episodes within a short time. These episodes can switch from high to low or vice versa quickly.
Mixed States: This is when a person experiences symptoms of both mania and depression simultaneously. A person suffering from bipolar may feel elated but also have thoughts of suicide or engage in reckless behavior.
In severe cases, a person may experience delusions (false beliefs) and hallucinations (seeing or hearing things that aren’t there).
