President Of Liberia, Boakai Arrives Nigeria For ECOWAS Summit
Liberian President, Joseph Boakai will arrive in Nigeria on Saturday (today) to participate in the 65th Ordinary Session of the ECOWAS Authority and Heads of State and Government.
This was contained in a statement made available on Saturday.
According to the statement, the President will travel with his support staff, protocol, and assistants on communications, media, security, and personal matters.
Members of the President’s official delegation include the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Dean of the Cabinet, Sara Nyanti, the Minister of Finance, Boima Kamara, the Managing Director, of Liberia Petroleum Refining Company, Amos Tweh, and the Economic Advisor to the President, Morley Kamara.
The statement partly reads, “President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., will travel to Abuja, Nigeria on Saturday, July 6, 2024, to attend the 65th, Ordinary Session of the ECOWAS Authority & Heads of State and Government.
“The President will also travel along with his support staff, protocol, and assistants on communications and media, security, and personal matters.
“While the President is away, the Minister of State for Presidential Affairs and Chief of Staff, Sylvester M. Grigsby, will Chair the Cabinet and work in consultation with the President.”
