Jesper Lindstorm Joins Everton From Napoli

Premier League side, Everton has signed Jesper Lindstrom from Napoli on a season-long loan, with an option to sign on a permanent deal.

The 24-year-old Denmark winger arrives after a single campaign in Italy, where he made 29 appearances in all competitions after joining from Eintracht Frankfurt.

I’ve spoken to the manager. It sounds as though he likes the way I play football and I can be a good fit for the team with my speed, so now I want to deliver,” Lindstrom told the official club website “I know he trusts me and that’s another reason I’m here – because I need that trust from the coach and I need trust from my team-mates. I’m ready to show them I can help.

“I am 100 percent ready. I’m so hungry. This pre-season feels long because I just want to play football, I just want to be out there in the stadium. Last year was a tough year for me but I’m so happy to be here now and I can’t wait to get started.”

Born on 29 February 2000, in Taastrup, Denmark, Lindstrom began his career with Brondby in 2017, where he made his first-team debut in November 2018 in the Danish Cup, before making his league debut in July 2019.

The 2020/21 season would be Lindstrom’s best for Brondby, producing 18 goal involvements in 22 league matches as his side won the league title.

He left for Eintracht Frankfurt the following season and made 29 appearances in the Bundesliga, scoring five goals and assisting five more.

The Dane also played a starring role in Eintracht’s success in the UEFA Europa League,  producing four assists. Lindstrom made 80 appearances in all competitions for the German side before joining Napoli last season.

Lindstrom made his Denmark debut on 11 November 2020 and has appeared a further 15 times for his country, scoring once. He played in all three of their matches at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar but was not in their UEFA EURO 2024 squad.

Lindstrom becomes Everton’s fifth arrival of the summer transfer window, following the additions of Iliman Ndiaye, Omari Benjamin, Jack Harrison, and Tim Iroegbunam.
