President Tinubu Hosts Air Peace CEO Onyema At State House
The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Air Peace, Allen Onyema, has expressed his admiration for the significant strides made by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the aviation sector under the Renewed Hope Agenda. Speaking after a meeting with the President at the State House in Abuja on Thursday, Onyema highlighted Tinubu’s efforts in stabilizing business operations and driving reforms in the sector.
In a statement released on Friday, Onyema praised the President’s leadership and policy initiatives, which he said are transforming the aviation industry and improving the ease of doing business in Nigeria. He specifically commended the President for empowering the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, to spearhead reforms that have begun to yield positive results.
“The President is a businessman, and he is trying to stabilize businesses with his policies, but people don’t realize this. Some of us in business understand what the President is trying to do, and we appreciate him, especially in the aviation industry,” Onyema said.
The Air Peace CEO acknowledged the economic challenges currently facing the nation but expressed confidence in the long-term benefits of Tinubu’s policies. He urged Nigerians to support the administration and embrace reforms aimed at fostering indigenous investments.
Onyema described Tinubu’s approach as a form of genuine restructuring, emphasizing that the President’s efforts are geared toward redefining the country’s operational frameworks for sustainable progress. “Many Nigerians think restructuring means dividing the country along regional lines, but what Tinubu is doing is genuine restructuring by changing how we operate as a nation to achieve better results in the long term,” he noted.
Onyema’s commendation underscores the private sector’s recognition of the administration’s commitment to economic reform and its potential to stabilize critical industries like aviation. The meeting also highlighted the pivotal role of collaborative efforts between the government and business leaders in driving national development.
