Alexey, Russian Opposition Leader, Moved to an Undisclosed Center

Russian opposition leader Alexey Navalny who was initially jailed in Moscow prison has been moved out to an undisclosed detention center outside the country’s capital.

Navalny was jailed this month for violating his parole in relation to an embezzlement case.

The said Russian leader; Navalny is due to spend just more than two and a half years behind the bar. One of his lawyers, Vadim Kobzev, tweeted that Navalny was moved from the Moscow jail and that he could have been taken to a prison camp.

According to Kobzev, such a move is against the law, and that Navalny’s relatives had not been informed of his whereabouts.
RIA news agency reported that Eva Merkacheva, a member of Moscow’s public monitoring committee for human rights, said Navalny was sent to a standard penal colony, the location of which should be disclosed when he arrived there.
