AFCON: Timaya Advises Nigerians Living in South Africa to Stay Safe

Nigerians were the happiest yesterday after we won South Africa at the AFCON semi-finals with 4 goals to 2. Someone said may this jubilation affect the country’s economy!

In the heat of this, popular Nigerian singer, Timaya has advised Nigerians living in South Africa to be careful against attacks from the latter country.

Taking to his X page, Timaya advised Nigerians living in South Africa to stay indoors till the noise of the match would subside.

“If you are a Nigerian and in SA tonight, please just day your day”, Timaya tweeted.

Well, Timaya’ advice is timely and not farfetched. This is because South Africans have a history of Xenophobia attacks on Nigerians.
