Akwa Ibom First Lady, Patience Umo Eno, Passes Away
Mrs. Patience Umo Eno, the wife of Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has passed away. The sad news was confirmed by the State Commissioner for Information, Ini Ememobong, in a press release on Friday, September 27, 2024.
According to the statement, Mrs. Eno died at a hospital on September 26, 2024, surrounded by her family members. The statement, titled “Unexpected Sunset,” revealed that her passing followed an illness.
“It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of the Wife of the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Her Excellency, Pastor Mrs. Patience Umo Eno, following an illness. She passed away peacefully at the hospital on 26th September 2024, in the presence of her family,” the statement read.
The family has expressed their submission to the will of God and requested prayers and support during this difficult time. They have also asked for privacy as they mourn their beloved wife, mother, and grandmother.
Governor Umo Eno has appreciated the support extended to the first family and assured citizens that despite this personal tragedy, his commitment to the service of the state remains steadfast. Further details regarding funeral arrangements will be provided by the family in due course.
