Arsenal Signs Odegaard From Real Madrid
Arsenal secured the signing of Martin Odegaard from Real Madrid on a permanent deal on Friday after the Norwegian international midfielder impressed during a loan spell at the Emirates last season.
The 22-year-old will reportedly cost the Gunners an initial £30 million ($41 million) with Arsenal also expected to splash £30 million on England goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale from Sheffield United in the coming days.
The 22-year-old completed a two-part medical on Thursday the transfer is subject to the completion of regulatory processes and visa requirements. Odegaard will not be available for Sunday’s match with Chelsea as the club await visa clearance before he will be available for selection.
He made 20 appearances across all competitions, with one of his two goals coming in the north London derby win over Tottenham in March.
Odegaard – who will wear the No 8 shirt – will be unavailable for Arsenal’s Premier League clash with London rivals Chelsea on Sunday
