Asake Rose To Fame While The Ovation Is Loud

Asake whose real name is Ahmed Ololade, rose to fame while the ovation is loud, he had a smooth ride to fame within 4 – 5 years of his musical career. Thanks to his godfathers in the industry (the likes of Burna Boy , Olamide), he rode on shoulders of giants.

Being a musician in the Afrobeats, Amapiano and R&B genre, Ololade was born on January 13, 1995. He bagged a degree in Dramatic Arts from the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University in Nigeria, but deviated to music after school.

He started making music in 2019 when he released his single ‘Lady’. In 2020 he released another single “Mr Money”, did a remix with singers Zlatan and Peruzzi. This marked an upturn in his career as this shot him to limelight.

To the surprise of his fans, in February 2022, record label boss, Olamide signed Asake to his record label YBNL. This was followed by the release of his debut album ‘Ololade’, which comprised of 6 tracks.

Before the end of 2022 Asake’s debut album made Audiomack’ top trending and most streamed artistes.

Presently Asake has a networth of $1.2 million, he recently sold out the 02 Arena in London. Thereby making history with the likes of Davido, Wizkid and Burna Boy. He has won several awards to his credit.

2019 – He won the Break Out Artist of the Year at the 2022 All Africa Music Awards.

2023 (February) He won the Male MVP award at the Soundcity MVP Awards.

2023 (On September 4), Asake won the Next Rated Award at the 16th Headies Awards and ‘Album of the Year’.

Asake made history with his latest win at the Headies being the first Nigerian artist to win the Next Rated Award and Album of the Year.
