Barca’s Griezmann Welcomes Third Child, All Three Born On April 8

Barcelona’s Antoine Griezmann announced on Thursday the birth of his daughter, Alba, on April 8, the same date as his other two children.

Griezmann’s three children – Mia, Amaro and now Alba – have all been born on the same day, with Mia born in 2016 and Amaro three years later.

While it is rare that three siblings born several years apart share the same birthday, the Griezmann clan have some way to go if they are to match the Guinness World Record.

Five of Americans Carolyn and Ralph Cummins’ children were all born on 20 February between 1952 and 1966 – the odds of which were one in 17.8 billion.

Griezmann will not have much time to spend with his newest child before switching his attention to his day job, as Barcelona travel to face bitter rivals Real Madrid in the Clasico on Saturday.

A win in the Spanish capital would send Barca top of La Liga, at least until Atletico Madrid play at Real Betis the following day.
