Benue State Governor Signs N550 Billion 2025 Budget Into Law

Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia, has signed the 2025 budget of N550 billion into law, signaling a new era for the state’s development. The budget, titled “Human Capital Development, Food Security, and the Digital Economy,” was passed by the State House of Assembly on Monday, December 30, during a plenary session presided over by Speaker Hon. Hyacinth Aondona Dajoh.

The signing ceremony, which took place at the Benue State Government House in Makurdi, coincided with the launch of the state’s 10-Year Development Plan, State Nutrition Policy, and State Social Protection Policy. Governor Alia described the occasion as a pivotal moment in Benue’s journey toward sustainable development.

Speaking at the event, Alia emphasized that the budget and the accompanying policies marked the beginning of a transformative chapter for the state.
