Bishop TD Jakes Is Stable After Health Scare – Potter’s House
Potter’s House, a US megachurch, has announced that its leader, Bishop Thomas Dexter (T.D. Jakes), is stable and under the care of medical professionals after he suffered a health scare.
TD Jakes suffered the scare while delivering a sermon during Sunday’s church service.
“The meditations of my heart be acceptable in thy sight, oh Lord,” the celebrated preached prayed while struggling to breathe.
“My strength and my redeemer, let them go in peace,” Bishop Jakes said, bowing his head and lowering his microphone.
Some church officials rushed to the podium and surrounded the preacher, one of whom called on the congregation to pray.
However, Potter’s Church in Dallas, Texas, described the scare in a statement as a ”slight health incident.”
“During today’s service, Bishop T.D. Jakes experienced a slight health incident and received immediate medical attention following his powerful hour-long message,” the Potter’s House said in a short message on its Facebook page.
“Bishop Jakes is stable and under the care of medical professionals. The entire Potter’s House family is grateful for the outpouring of love, prayers, and support from the community. Thank you for your understanding and continued prayers.”
The church in the message which was also crossposted on TD Jakes X’s handle, did not, however, give details of what caused the incident or if Bishop Jakes was hospitalized.
