Borussia Dortmund Sign Waldemar Anton From Vfb Stuttgart

Borussia Dortmund has completed the signing of defender, Waldemar Anton from VfB Stuttgart, as announced by both Bundesliga clubs on Monday.

The 27-year-old former Stuttgart captain has signed a contract that will keep him at Signal Iduna Park until 2028, in a transfer reportedly valued at 22.5 million euros ($24.37 million).

Anton, who was born in Uzbekistan, recently joined the German national team, making his debut in March and appearing twice at Euro 2024.

The Champions League runners-up have been seeking a defensive replacement following Mats Hummels’ departure, with Anton being the first addition under new coach Nuri Sahin.
