On Friday, Renowned Canadian singer, Celine Dion, performed at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Olympics in Paris.
This marks her first very live performance in four years, after her battle with Stiff Person Syndrome, a rare neurological disorder.
Dion delivered a powerful rendition of Edith Piaf’s timeless classic “Hymne à l’amour” (1950) at the iconic Eiffel Tower, bringing the ceremony to a close.
The 56-year-old singer reportedly charged a fee of $2 million for her performance.
This performance marked Dion’s second appearance at the Olympic Games, having previously performed “The Power of the Dream” at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics.
