Controversy Surrounds The Death Of Lagos Socialite, Dapo Ojora.
Dapo Ojora, a socialite and one of the sons of billionaire businessman and board room guru, Otunba Adekunle Ojora and his wife, Erelu Ojuolape Ojora, has died.
While several online news platforms claimed that the Polo Buff shot himself in the head at his apartment in Ikoyi, Lagos state on Friday evening, December 11, family sources said it was a case of accidental discharge.
The deceased is a brother-in-law to former Senate President, Bukola Saraki. Saraki married Dapo’s younger sister, Toyin Saraki, née Ojora.
Dapo Ojora separated from his wife, Patricia, a trained lawyer, and an entrepreneur in 2019. Family sources claim his marital woes took a heavy toll on him, as he couldn’t bear to lose his loving wife.
Just last year, he and his wife put their differences aside when they both hosted the creme of Lagos society to their daughter, Tara’s wedding to her beau, Folajimi Ayodeji, in Ikoyi, Lagos.
Nine years ago, the Ojora family was thrown into mourning following the demise of Dapo’s older brother and scion of their family, Gboyega Ojora, fondly referred to as ‘Gbegi’. Aged 50, Gbegi died of a heart attack at First Consultant Hospital, Ikoyi. He left behind a wife, Solveigh Omosalewa, and a son, Toluwani.
