Covid-19: Second Wave Looms As Nigeria Records 418 New Cases
The Nigerian Center for Disease Control (NCDC) has on Sunday, 13th, December, recorded a total of 418 new cases of the COVID19.
According to NCDC, Lagos recorded 113 new cases, the highest for the day. Other states with new cases include FCT-86, Abia-47, Kaduna-39, Rivers-27, Katsina-22, Benue-14, Oyo-13, Kano-12, Enugu-8, Edo-7, Imo-7, Bauchi-6, Ebonyi-6, Ogun-6, Ondo-4, and Nasarawa-1.
The country seems to be threatened with a second wave of the virus especially as many political figures have tested positive for the virus, including, Lagos state Governor, Babajide Sanwolu.
Nigeria now has a total of 73,175 confirmed cases. 66,090 patients have been discharged so far with 1,197 deaths recorded.
