Cristiano Ronaldo Scores 801th Career Goal
Manchester United’s forward Cristiano Ronaldo has bagged his 801th career goal in all competition against Arsenal on Thursday.
The star player is recognised as the all-time top men’s goalscorer, and he has continued to reach significant milestones upon his return to the Red Devils.
Ronaldo has made a habit of netting in important moments in 2021, as he’s scored at least once in each of his five Champions League appearances, including two late winners, while he’s netted six times in the Premier League.
Ronaldo made his professional debut at SportingCPin 2002 and scored his first two professional goals in a 3-0 victory over Moreirense on Oct. 7 of that year. He joined United at the end of the season after scoring five goals in all.
He spent six seasons during his first spell in Manchester, scoring 118 goals in 292 appearances before signing for Real Madrid in a then-world record fee of £80 million.
