Edo Deputy Governor, Idahosa Appoints Aghedo As CPS
Dennis Idahosa, Edo State Deputy governor, has appointed his long-time media aid, Friday Aghedo, to serve as his Chief Press Secretary.
This was contained in a letter signed by the Secretary to the state government, Musa Ikhilor, on Friday.
According to the letter, the appointment takes effect from December 2, 2024.
Ikhilor said, “The Deputy Governor of Edo State, Dennis Idahosa, has appointed Friday Aghedo as his Chief Press Secretary. The appointment takes effect from December 2, 2024.”
Aghedo is bringing on board a wealth of experience in media handling and leadership skills.
He will be at home with his principal, having worked with him in the same capacity since 2019 following his election into the House of Representatives and up until his emergence as the Deputy Governor.
Aghedo had also served as the Press Secretary to the Chairman of Ovia South West Local Government Area, Destiny Enabulele.
He also served as Deputy Director of the New Media Committee of the All Progressives Congress Governorship Campaign Council, working to ensure the victory of Governor Monday Okpbebholo.
Aghedo holds a BSc (Ed) in Political Science and Public Administration from the University of Benin.
