Edo Gov, Okpebholo Appoints New Revenue Board Members
Monday Okpebholo, Governor of Edo State, has appointed Oladele Bankole-Balogun to serve as the Executive Chairman of Edo State Board of Internal Revenue.
According to a statement on Saturday by the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Ikhilor, other executive directors of the board are Deacon Idiake Patrick Akhimien (representing Edo Central), Hon. Mike Ohio Ezomo (representing Edo North) and Hon. Engr. Jackson Eribo (representing Edo South).
The statement reads, “It is hereby announced for the information of the general public, Senator Monday Okpebholo, Governor of Edo State, has approved the nomination of Oladele Bankole-Balogun for appointment as Executive Chairman, Edo State Board of Internal Revenue.
“Bankole-Balogun, born in hails from Igarra in Akoko-Edo, obtained his education at the University of Ibadan (BSc Hons Political Science 1984); University of London (LLB Hons Law); College of Law, Store Street, London (Postgraduate Diploma Law).
“He is a Member, of the Law Society of England and Wales, the Nigeria Bar Association, the International Bar Association, and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK).
“Hon. Bankole-Balogun has worked in different spheres of human endeavors. At various times, he worked at Cadbury Nigeria Plc (1985-1989); Pfizer UK Sandwich Kent (1989-1994); Alphabet Group UK; Chairman Alphabet House Ltd; Director/Board Member, Allen Angus Resources Ltd; Chairman, Barking and Havering Hospital trust Appointments Board; Principal Partner, Oladele Bankole-Balogun & Co.; Federal Commissioner, Public Complaints Commission (2012-2015) representing Edo State.
“On the political sphere, Bankole-Balogun was, at various times, an aspirant and candidate for the House of Representatives Elections in Akoko Edo Federal Constituency and was recently a Member of APC Campaign Council for 2024 Governorship elections in Edo State.
“Other members nominated as Executive Directors into the Edo State Board of Internal Revenue are Deacon Idiake Patrick Akhimien (representing Edo Central), Hon. Mike Ohio Ezomo (representing Edo North), and Hon. Engr. Jackson Eribo (representing Edo South).”
