EFCC Chairman Abdulrasheed Bawa Slumps In Abuja
Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Abdulrasheed Bawa, slumped at a programme at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, on Thursday.
The incident happened when Bawa was giving a goodwill message at the National Identity Day celebration.
The EFCC boss suddenly stopped talking, staggered, and later laid down.
He was assisted to his seat by the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr Isa Ali Pantami, and other senior officials at the event and was rushed out.
Before the incident, Bawa was talking about a man who was arrested in Ibadan, Oyo State, with 116 SIM cards.
The EFCC boss was rushed out of the hall accompanied by the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Mr Isa Panatami.
Shortly after, Mr Pantami returned to the hall and said he was now in a stable condition and the event continued.
