Everton Signs Right Back Patterson From Rangers
Nathan Patterson has signed a 5 and half year contract with Everton, the premier league club announced this on Tuesday.
The 20-year-old Scotland international, who has joined for an undisclosed fee, is the Merseysiders’ second signing of the January transfer window following the arrival at Goodison Park of Ukraine left-back Vitaliy Mykolenko from Dynamo Kyiv.
Patterson – who will wear the number three jersey at Everton – had started in just two of his six Scottish Premiership appearances this season, with captain James Tavernier the Rangers’ first-choice right-back.
He made his Scotland debut last June during a 1-0 win over Luxembourg before scoring his first goal for the national side against Moldova in November.
The youngster is Everton’s second signee of the January transfer window following the arrival of Ukraine left back Vitaliy Mykolenko from Dynamo Kiev last week.
