Ex-President Goodluck Jonathan’s Convoy Involved In An Auto-Crash, Two Die, Two Injured
A vehicle in the convoy of former President Goodluck Jonathan on Wednesday was involved in fatal accident.
Not lesser than two persons were said to have died in the accident and two others who are police officers were terribly injured.
It was learnt that one of the vehicles over sped and rammed into another.
The accident took place around the Bill Clinton Drive area of the Federal Capital Territory around 4:30 pm.
According to reports, the former president was coming from the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport to his residence in Abuja when the accident took place.
It was gathered that the former president was unhurt while those injured were immediately rushed to the National hospital.
The Federal Road Safety Commission Corps Public Education Officer, Bisi Kazeem has confirmed the incident.
According to him, those rushed to the hospital are responding to treatment.
Kazeem said, “It was his convoy. Nothing happened to him and his car is not involved in the accident. The vehicles in his convoy had a bash and two died, two are at the national hospital and are recuperating. Seven cars were however involved in the accident.”
