Fire erupts at Mobil Fuel Station In Lagos

On Thursday, a fire erupted at a Mobil fuel station situated near the Airport Hotel on Obafemi Awolowo Way, Ikeja, Lagos State.

The blaze started at approximately 10:49 a.m., during a busy time for fuel sales, leading to widespread chaos and destruction.

A video posted by a user on X, Dubem, who goes by the handle #Dub3m__, captured the station engulfed in flames. The video was captioned: “Mobil filling station, near Lagos Airport Hotel on Obafemi Awolowo Road, Ikeja is on fire right now. #LAG_FireService, your immediate response is required.”

Emergency responders, including ambulances, have been dispatched to the site to assist victims and bring the situation under control. The exact cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
